Our Mission

John C. Daniels School of International Communication fosters a community of teachers and learners who view themselves as global citizens growing in their ability to communicate effectively in a diverse world. We develop higher order thinking skills through our HOT, Magnet and elementary Dual Language programs. We infuse arts and technology into the curricula so as to best prepare each unique child to be a productive, effective member of the 21st century society.

Parents Overview/News

NHPS Parent University, a day-long series of free workshops for parents, is happening on Nov. 3 at the new Gateway Community College downtown. This is a great opportunity for parents to learn about ways to help their children succeed in school and prepare for college. Workshop topics include planning for college, protecting your child from cyber-bullying, motivating your teen and learning about New Haven Promise. Other workshops will help parents learn computer skills, build a resume and social networking. Please see the flyer below which has important information about how you can register for Parent University.
