Dear JCD Families and Community,
Please take a moment to read the below message:
During the past 5 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to teaching your child/ren physical education and/or health education. I have been blessed with opportunity to create learning experiences to allow your child to begin to understand and explore why health, wellness, and physical activity are fundamental to their success as students and individuals. We have laughed and learned in class, creating countless learning experiences that I know that I will cherish always.
Your child/ren have taught me endless lessons on culture, community, empathy, autonomy, and seeing life through their eyes. I have grown in countless ways as a teacher and as person, I am thankful for all that our school community at John C. Daniels has given me. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach within this unique and diverse learning community.
With that said, I have been speaking to each of my classes regarding me resigning my position here at John C. Daniels, for a new opportunity that is closer to my home and my children. I have explained this change to them and have allowed them to ask questions that are relevant or important to them. I have explained that Mr. Casella will still be here and physical education/health will go on. I will officially be resigned from my position at JCD on October 24, 2019. If you/family have any questions please reach out to myself or administration.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you and your children for allowing me the opportunity to teach, learn, and grow within John C. Daniels, I am eternally grateful.
