CONGRATULATIONS Summer Readers!!! Our final numbers are in and we are SUPER proud of each of you!
All of your hard work during the summer has earned John C. Daniels the TOP spot among ALL of the elementary schools in New Haven. Keep reading and remember:
We were very excited to see the pictures on Instagram of our students reading over the summer. Please be sure to return your child's completed summer reading log to Mrs. McGovern by Friday, September 13th. ALL students who returns a log, meeting the challenge guidelines, will be invited to participate in a school based celebration. Participants will also receive 4 raffle tickets to be entered to win a prize. Students who have at least 5 summer reading pictures posted on Instagram will receive an additional three raffle tickets.
Reading is THINKING!!! The MORE you READ, the MORE you will SUCCEED!!!

Please join us on Friday, March 29th for our Battle of the Books Competition and Celebration.
Our competition will be held in the auditorium.
Grades 3 & 4 9:00-10:00 Team Competition
Grades 5 & 6 11:10-11:55 Head-to-Head Competition
A celebration for students participating in the Battle of the Books and their guests will be held in the Library from 1:30 to 2:30.
