On Thursday, March 21st the JCD learning community will recognize World Down Syndrome Day. Every year on March 21st, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome.

For $1.00, students are encouraged to wear bright, mismatched socks over their uniform pants. Proceeds will be donated to Down Syndrome International whose vision is a better world where all people with Down syndrome are fully included in society.
