Reading: (English)

  • Show me the front cover, back cover, and spine of a book.
  • What sounds do t, f, b, m, and n make?


  • Count to 30.
  • What is 1 more than 3?
  • Show me 9 objects.  (cereal, pennies, legos…)

Writing: (English)

  • Write a t, f, b, m, and n.
  • Write your name.

Social Studies:

  • What is in your community? (school, library, church…)
  • Tell me 2 community helpers?


  • NO SCHOOL on Monday.
  • PICTURE DAY: class picture – Tuesday,

individual pictures - Wednesday.  Please send in your money.

  • Please read with your child each night.

Ask Me??????

Please ask your child these questions about their week in school.


  • What sounds do t, b, and f make?
  • What words start with t, b, and f? (top, bat, fun)
  • What are three ways to read a book?
  • After you read a story, ask him/her to retell the story.


  • Show me how you write your name.
  • Write a lower case t, b, and f.


  • Draw 2 things that are different.
  • Show me 6 pennies (or any object).
  • Practice writing the numbers 1-8.


  • Check your child’s folder each night and keep all papers home except homework and reading logs. 
  • Please ask your child each night about their day in school.  What was your favorite part?   It is so important to make the home and school connection. 
  • Please don’t send in a lot of snacks for lunch because the kids eat the snacks instead of their lunch.
  • Remember to READ, READ, READ!
