The World in my Backyard

Our students are working and learning about "The World in my Backyard." This magnet focus area is designed to answer the fundamental human question, “Who are we and where did we come from?” It is a study of families and heritage as well as immigration. Students learn about the cultures and histories that are represented in their classrooms and in the world around us through interviews, biographies, diaries and other personal interactions.

We look forward to the students sharing their knowledge with everyone at our first town meeting, scheduled for Friday, November 22nd. The schedule is as follows:

Grades PreK, K, 4, 8

9:00 - 9:45

HOST: GRADE  4

Grades 1, 5, 6

10:00 - 10:45

HOST: GRADE 6

Grades 2, 3, 7

1:15 - 2:00

HOST: GRADE 7

If you have any questions about our magnet theme curriculum, please reach out to Ms. Ryan at 475-220-3604 or carroll.ryan@nhboe.net
