September 28th

Good Afternoon Families,

We had another busy week! Thank you for signing and returning math tests. Homework has been being handed in daily and calendars are being signed. Thank you and keep up the good work!

In Math, we are now working on subtraction with regrouping. We will continue with this next week. We will be regrouping across zeros in the middle of the week and then reviewing on Thursday and POSSIBLY taking the chapter 4 test on Friday, October 5th. We will keep you updated.

We finished our personal narratives and published them in Writing class this week. We will be working on specific narrative writing skills for the next few weeks. We will work on describing settings and writing conclusions that solve problems. We will also continue to practice writing dialogue in our pieces.

In Reading, we are focusing on character traits and summarizing. We are also using RACE to help us form complete written responses about what we read.
