Dear Families of grade 3 and 4 students:

Your child is on their second round of tesing with DORA in Spanish. The first round was back in December 2018 and now in the Spring 2019. DORA is an online reading assessment which assesses reading skills in 7 fundamental areas. The 7 fundamental areas are:

  1. High Frequency Words
  2. Word Recognition
  3. Phonics
  4. Phoemic Awareness
  5. Oral Vocabulary
  6. Spelling
  7. Reading Comprehension

DORA ia an adapative assessment which adjusts depending on how your child is performing. Immediately after your child is done with his/her test a report is available with information to help improve your child's reading skills.

Please reach out to your child's teacher or myself if you have questions.

Thank you.

When the day is over, let it go.

Don't dwell on what you could've or should've done.

Tomorrow is... another day & another chance.
